I am a Christian, always have been. Recently, though, I have been working on improving my relationship with my lord and have found a great deal of peace through giving of myself to follow Jesus. Additionally, the involvement in church with my family has been greatly rewarding and enjoyable. Especially rewarding is seeing my son’s enthusiasm toward learning about faith and stories from the scripture. The most interesting questions have begun to come to his mind as a result. My wife and I have found a much closer relationship together through church and have continued to grow our relationship as a result. Since I began concentrating on improving my faith and life I have had the great pleasure to meet new people who share the common thread of giving of one’s self to the lord. Although life is hard, it is a much better endeavor for me to share both good and bad with the lord, my family, and my friends.
The Serenity Prayer
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, courage to change the things I can and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time; Accepting hardships as the pathway to peace; Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it; Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will; That I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him Forever in the next.
Amen.–Reinhold Niebuhr
