Dynamic Check Boxes in Flex-AIR

Many times we are able to simply hard-code check boxes into our view as we don’t expect the available options to change often, or at all. Other times our list of options may tend to change frequently and we find the need to produce the list based on our list-item data source. When...
I just happened across the WordPress for Android app in the market today and thought it might be useful for those times that I have an uncontrollable urge to blog when I’m away from my notebook
It has a simple rich text editor with Bold, Italic, Link, and
Block-Quote.
It looks like it accepts HTML just fine, not sure of limitations there, but basic formatting is good with me for posting from phone.
I can add pics too.
Posts may be saved with or without publish.
There is a Comment management tab, as well as a Pages management tab.
I wrote this post from my phone, certainly slower than from my notebook, but not bad. So if this post publishes ok I’d recommend it.
Edit: Had a crash on edit using V.1.0.2. Photo not uploading.null
I kinda like this new skin, change is good! I think this is much less cluttered and, althought there is some overflow – will work on that – i really like the additional width available for code samples.
Kyle Hayes found a pretty cool widget tool at FeedJournal which generates a PDF of your blog feed in newspaper format. Interesting idea, probably useless, but cool nonetheless. Here is my feed as a newspaper:
I want to thank James Netherton for his migration script which ports data and schema between BlogCFC and WordPress. The basic set of instructions which were provided were more than enough to understand the process which worked better than I could have hoped. The only issues which I experienced were not related to the script but simply to the way in which WordPress interprets <code> compared to BlogCFC. I ended up going through and changing out my <code> tags for <pre> tags and tweaked the css to get what I wanted. This would be a bigger issue on a blog with a larger number of posts than my own but scripts are out there that will do this for you and it wouldn’t be too big of an issue to write some sql if you needed to.
Cool, had a smooth transition from BlogCFC to WordPress. I’ve got some props to give out which I will have to do later. Be sure to let me know if you have any problems – but not too soon – I still have quite a bit of stuff I want to do before letting it rest for a bit.
Andy Jarrett posted a quick guide to using Google Docs to post entries.
So here I am on my Google Docs trying it out. I am looking for some docs on tagging this post because the notes in the settings mentioned that you could use an existing catagory name. What I believe is that a tag in Google Docs is actually defined by a folder. I created a folder named “Blogging” so we will see if this post is categorized under my blogging category.
I like having the nice text editor available for creating entries but have found myself in the “Edit HTML” view as a matter of habit. For those who don’t like writing markup, I can see where the editor would be really nice.
Ok, so I am saving and posting. The proof is in the post.
Well, so far this is not working out for me. I have tested that I am connected to my blog’s API which has returned positive. I will keep trying…
Now trying the MetaWebLog API…
